It is crucial to provide support and validation for your children as part of your daily interactions with them. They might be scared to speak up against their mother for the fear of being hurt or kicked out of the house. They might be afraid to tell you how they are treated by their abusive mother because they do not want to cause any conflict. Be knowledgeable regarding abuse and narcissism. Observe your children for signs of depression, withdrawal, suicidal thoughts, etc., and be ready to listen to them and offer encouragement. It is also a good idea to have your children speak with a professional they can trust, such as a counselor.
